Onam

Onam is the biggest festival in the Indian state of Kerala. Onam Festival falls during the Malayali month of Chingam and marks the homecoming of legendary King Mahabali. Carnival of Onam lasts for ten days and brings out the best of Kerala culture and tradition. Intricately decorated Pookalam, ambrosial Onasadya, breathtaking Snake Boat Race and exotic Kaikottikali dance are some of the most remarkable features of Onam.

Onakalikal is a collective name for the numerous games played on the occasion of Onam. After a sumptuous Onasadhya meal, it's the ideal time to indulge in a little bit of merriment and sports and energetic people of Kerala make the most of it. The main games are

The ground floor was decorated with flowers to celebrate the visit of the King Mahabali to TechNeurons staff enjoying their Sadya Onam food. The festival marks the tribute to the sacrifice of Kind Mahabali. As people from North India were unaware about the story of King Mahabali, Mr.Sarath recited the tale ,How Lord Vishnu disguised himself as a dwarf and a poor Vamanavisited Kerala to test the allegiance of the King to the people.

For us at work, Onam was always a time of leisure and joy, which is a beautiful memory I'll never forget. For the sadya, each of us would bring a different food from home. . After eating lunch together and chatting for a while, we would spend some time singing. The jokes we told and the good times we had helped to loosen up the office's stuffy mood and create a more pleasant one.
